Step 4"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Now it was time to replace the old board, with a new one.\u00a0 We decided to make it a little longer and round the corners to match the contoured curve at the top of the trailer.\u00a0 After some measuring and playing around with the design in Rhino, we made a large paper template and used it to mark out the board.\u00a0 Unfortunately the size of the board was to large to fit in the CNC, or I could have made a perfect cut, instead I had to resort to the old scroll saw.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/soulysolar.mudventions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMGP2728_640.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-756\" title=\"IMGP2728_640\" src=\"http:\/\/soulysolar.mudventions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMGP2728_640-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/soulysolar.mudventions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMGP2728_640-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/soulysolar.mudventions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMGP2728_640.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><!--more-->The cut out on the left will be for the electronics insert module that contains the Voltage and Current Meters as well as a 4 line LCD hooked to an Arduino for custom sensors and logging.\u00a0 Hey, come on you didn&#8217;t think I could leave a microcontroller out of this now did you?\u00a0 The space on the right will be for later expansion, possibly a trimetric, or if I can&#8217;t work out tank sensors on my own, some after market\u00a0 tank sensor.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In order to mount the new board to the fiberglass I added some small wood strips around the boarder with WeldWood contact adhesive, and drilled holes for the wood screws.\u00a0 This gives you a wood backer strip to screw into and sandwiches the fiberglass in between.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/soulysolar.mudventions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMGP2735_640.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-757\" title=\"IMGP2735_640\" src=\"http:\/\/soulysolar.mudventions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMGP2735_640-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/soulysolar.mudventions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMGP2735_640-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/soulysolar.mudventions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/IMGP2735_640.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">And here is what it looks like all &#8220;Screwed UP&#8221;
